EUDI Wallet

EUDI Wallet readiness in Belgium

Belgium’s MyGov.be is already available for government services and digital documents, and is the country’s identified path toward an EUDI wallet. Its eIDAS alignment is targeted for the end of 2026. The live domestic app and its forthcoming European capabilities are therefore different milestones.

Belgium has established digital identity infrastructure, including FAS and itsme, but those services do not by themselves establish MyGov.be’s EUDI developer access or production relying-party registration. The evidence also leaves the wallet-certification stage and admission rules for independent EUDI wallets unresolved. itsme’s anticipated role remains a company expectation rather than a settled national designation.
