EUDI Wallet

EUDI Wallet readiness in Norway

Norway has an announced national wallet programme and a policy target of a wallet for everyone by 2030, but production investment and delivery choices remain open. BankID and other existing eIDs are expected to coexist with wallets; Stø’s own wallet plans do not select the national operator.

Digdir already operates an EUDI sandbox with self-service organisation and test-service registration plus access certificates. This is meaningful developer access, not an operational production relying-party register. Norway is participating in Nordic-Baltic certification preparation, while public versus private delivery remains under consideration. EEA incorporation and national delivery decisions are central to the production timetable.
