France Identité is already available as a state digital identity wallet and is being evolved toward EUDI by France Titres. The planned European-wallet milestone is in 2027; this does not erase the app’s current domestic availability. Access to the current service varies by use case: age-only flows do not require relying-party authentication, while full-identity access requires relying-party registration.

France’s EUDI playground supports developer and interoperability testing beyond consortium members, with a form and test-app enrolment required for access. ANSSI is preparing wallet certification. These test and domestic integration routes do not establish the statutory production EUDI register, whose authority and policy remain unclear in the available evidence. National recognition rules for independent private EUDI wallets are also unresolved.
