Czechia is developing its EUDI wallet through a national concession process, alongside an awarded reference-client procurement. A new client is intended to replace the existing eDoklady app, with first online use targeted for early 2027. eDoklady’s domestic release should therefore not be read as release of the future EUDI client.

The proposed framework sets out relying-party registration, certificates and onboarding, with DIA’s statutory role still subject to the legislative process. Certification preparation is under way, and official policy envisages other wallets meeting technical, security and certification requirements alongside the state concession. An external developer-access route for the new EUDI system has not yet been identified in the available evidence.
