Finland’s Suomi.fi Wallet is in active development, with Scytáles selected for technical implementation in July 2026 and release targeted for 2027. Suomi.fi identification remains a separate existing service. Wallet documentation is public, but the earlier large-scale-pilot workspace is frozen and should not be treated as a current open sandbox.

Traficom is identified as the relying-party registrar, while the register and certificate process remain in design. Finland is participating in Nordic-Baltic certification-scheme preparation and procuring certification services. Private wallets are envisaged alongside the state wallet subject to eIDAS conditions, but operational access and a certified wallet release remain future milestones.
