EUDI Wallet
EUDI Wallet readiness in Estonia
Estonia’s national EUDI wallet is in procurement, supported by completed preparatory architecture work. RIA also publishes an earlier wallet proof of concept and local test flows. That material is useful for developers, but it does not establish an open sandbox for the national production project; existing TARA authentication is a separate service.
RIA is developing the relying-party register and access-certificate solution, with an initial register release expected around the end of 2026 or early 2027. National certification-scheme work and evaluation analysis are also in progress. The available evidence does not establish operational production registration or a policy for recognition of independently supplied private wallets.
